A Troubled Teen... A Rookie Salesman... and 300 Horsepower...
When 17 year old George Gimble (portrayed by Seth Greenfield) walks into a car dealership, no one suspects a thing. But George has a dark side, a violent temper that is ready to explode. This GCG Associates film appeared at over a dozen Film Festivals nationwide in 1995.
Michael Williams (portrayed by Michael T. Dunn), a rookie salesman, is struggling for his first sale. Under the leadership of veteran supervisor Steve Dawson (portrayed by Michael Collins), the young salesman is coached on high pressure sales tactics to get the job done. This short film is significant because it was the acting debut of Michael Thomas Dunn (now a widely recognized actor/independent film maker).
This site is a tribute to this film. In November 1997, the GCG Associates Storage Facility suffered a severe fire. The master copies of Holding On were destroyed -- all that remains are a few evaluation tapes that were sent out to film festivals. This severe fire also lead GCG Pictures to cease operations in 1998.
